The work from this producer was not particularly noteworthy or special during its creation, and the same can be said of it now. It was created during a time when the artform as a whole was shifting and many artists were rising and leaving lasting marks in their genres. Many of these artists continue to have a large influence in their scenes and communities. But for every artist that made a large, historically significant impact, there were countless that, for whatever reason, didn't make one beyond their immediate communities, no matter how prolific they may have been. So why take time to examine this and other producers' work?

We believe that art captures history in a unique way. Whereas documentaries and other non-fiction work may tend to follow a singular, linear timeline, art can branch off from many timelines simultaneously, pulling threads to bring them to an endpoint of sorts. Those endpoints, although small and seemingly insignificant, can teach us a lot about history and help us to find, or hold on to, history that is important to us.

"David." is a collection of work from the producer that spans the majority of their career. This collection includes many new explorations for the producer including remixes, live instrument recording, and sample-based productions. Notice how each piece has a distinct style and utilizes different techniques. This is due to the many influences across the electronic music landscape that the producer aggressively tried to incorporate into their own work, often building entire pieces or sections on specific techniques or mainstays of certain subgenres. This can be likened to the producer pulling threads from seemingly distant timelines and bringing them to their own personal endpoint. This collection is the most accurate representation we have of the producer's overall artistic identity.
